I was born in 1991 and am a native Northern Californian with a love of travel, experiencing new cultures, volunteering and social activism. Growing up I dedicated my time to volunteering; local animal shelters, Serra Horse Rescue, Elementary School Counseling and River / Beach/ Park Cleanups.  I received two AA’s in Teaching Preparation: Liberal Arts and Behavioral and Social Sciences and then discontinued my education to dedicate myself to traveling full time, which was an amazing decision for my life.  Although my own decision with education was to take a more hands on approach I am very passionate about learning and education through schooling.  After college I taught at an elementary school through AmeriCorps for three years, teaching ESL learners in a low-income community.  My students were almost all second generation immigrants and there lack of opportunities due to lack of commitment from the community drove me to further other underprivileged children’s education elsewhere and that took me to Cambodia.  For 3 months I taught in Cambodia, I built my own classroom in an outlying village of Siem Reap, I cleaned out a garbage field and started my classroom in the lot.  Public school in Cambodia is not free, meaning most children do not get the opportunity to attend school, they divert to stealing, begging and working at very young ages.  I started with one class in the morning of 20 students and word spread between villages and I soon was teaching five classes a day, with children from age 4 to 15 attending.  I am passionate about human rights and peace processes.  I attend The Peace and Justice Organization Conference annually, have been to the Geneva Human Rights Conference and continue to educate myself on global issues. I believe my love of human rights and environmental justice goes hand in hand with traveling. I have traveled throughout the world but came to Morocco on a whim while traveling Europe and meant to spend just a few days, but ended up staying for months! What kept me? I fell in love with the love of my life: Wajih and his Country.  We traveled all around Morocco, exploring the known and unknown.  I have taught, trekked, volunteered, eaten and explored in many countries and out of all my travels Morocco has been the one country that has truly been beyond my expectations and has felt like home, which is why I’d love to organize you to have the same gift!

I was born in 1990 in Fez, Morocco and grew up around Fez and Chefchaouen. Growing up I struggled in school, until I began doing tours throughout Fez at the age of 16.  It is natural for me to be social and interact with tourists and groups, remember history, secret spots throughout my city and strive to make people happy.   The hands on experience was what I needed to thrive, I found my niche and it wasn’t sitting within four walls listening to someone teach me, it was being out in the world teaching others about the things I’m passionate about.  After learning much about tourism I started working for a Japanese company that organized tours to Morocco from Japan as a tour operator.  After working with them for two years I moved to Japan for four years, residing in Tokyo to learn Japanese, working in the restaurant “Gonpachi” as a bartender, which you may have seen in the movie Kill Bill. I loved the art, music, and literature, food and lifestyle of this new culture.  Learning Japanese was difficult but rewarding, I love learning new languages to open new pathways, opportunities, and conversations with other travelers and clients.  After Japan I moved to Australia for two years to better my English.  In Australia I worked at different varieties of jobs to further my travels of the country including: Pizza shop, hospitality and agriculture/farm labor.  I traveled the East Coast of Australia from South to North hitchhiking and backpacking along the way, staying in hostels, with friends and even living and camping on a beach. Throughout my travels I brought my hobbies to life, trekking, swimming, surfing, kayaking, white water rafting, backpacking, playing drums, futbol and learning languages. I then moved back to Fez, bringing my expertise, worldwide experiences and love of my country to tours here in Morocco. The best times while traveling were when I would meet locals that showed me different and interesting places that were off the beaten track.  I didn’t want the typical rehearsed tourist route but I also wanted to feel safe and taken care of, which is what I will provide for you. I want people to have an amazing experience seeing the real Morocco that only one can, being with a local. I’ve been organizing tours in Morocco since 2008, after meeting Ashley we decided to start our own tours to help people see the best of the country we love so much.  Ashley does the organizing and online work while I use my knowledge and experience to tour you around the country. We hope to see you, connect and explore together on one of our tours someday soon!
